Our mission is to advance governance and management of water resources for sustainable and equitable development. Global Water Partnership (GWP) is an international network, created in 1996 to foster an integrated approach to water resources management (IWRM). IWRM is a process which promotes the coordinated development and management of water, land, and related resources in order to maximise economic and social welfare in an equitable manner without compromising the sustainability of vital ecosystems. The Network is open to all organizations that recognize the principles of an integrated approach to water resources management endorsed by the Network. It includes states, government institutions (national, regional, and local), intergovernmental organizations, international and national non-governmental organisation, academic and research institutions, private sector companies, and service providers in the public sector.
